What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fixed Asset Specialist position at Fitness International, LLC?
Location: Corporate Office - Irvine, CA (Fully Onsite, not remote or hybrid)
Primary Duties Include:
- Support Fixed Assets Accounting Manager with the maintenance of fixed asset records for about 660 locations in the US and Canada
- Evaluate various purchase order receipts and invoices to determine if asset capitalization is applicable based on the company’s asset capitalization policy
- Assist with setting up assets in Workday according to the applicable depreciation rules for both the internal book and tax books
- Assist with the month-end accounting close by reviewing various general ledger expense accounts for possible capitalized assets and prepare related journal entries as needed
- Assist with asset management including transfers and disposals and editing assets for various asset-related datapoints such as serial numbers or asset tags
- Special reports and miscellaneous projects, as needed
Skill Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years of experience with fixed assets and 3 to 5 years of basic accounting
- Intermediate Excel skills; Workday experience a huge plus
- College graduate in business field preferred
- Attention to detail and organizational skills a must
