What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Fitness Equipment Technician position at Fitness & Exercise Solutions?
We are in need of an outgoing, responsible and mechanically-inclined service technician to diagnose and repair commercial fitness equipment in the Northern Indiana/Indianapolis area. Applicants must have their own tools, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be willing to travel on a daily basis - a service vehicle will be provided. The ideal candidate will live in the northern third of Indiana. Previous experience servicing fitness equipment is a plus, but not required, as training will be available through our home office in Evansville, Indiana. Good communication, customer service, and organizational skills are a must. A good working knowledge of basic computer software - along with the ability to read and decipher simple schematics and diagrams - are additional requirements for this position. Sales experience is a plus - in addition to the base hourly wage, commission income is also available through the promotion and sale of service agreements. Normal working hours are 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. Overtime pay will be available and paid at 1.5x the base pay. www.fitexsolutions.com
