Job Overview
The First Aid / CPR / AED Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that help individuals and organizations prepare for emergencies. Instructors teach lifesaving skills following American Red Cross guidelines, ensuring participants gain the confidence and knowledge to respond effectively in critical situations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging in-person and/or blended learning classes in First Aid, CPR, and AED use
- Follow standardized curriculum and teaching guidelines set by the American Red Cross
- Set up, maintain, and clean training equipment and supplies
- Evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure all safety protocols and class requirements are met
- Maintain accurate training records and submit required documentation on time
- Stay current with certification updates and instructional best practices
Qualifications
- Current American Red Cross Instructor Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED (Adult and or Pediatric
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage groups and adapt teaching styles to diverse audiences
- Comfortable with basic technology for course delivery and reporting
- Reliable transportation (if teaching at multiple sites)
