GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Professor of Practice in Computer
Science (5-year, non-tenure-track appointment) will provide high-quality
undergraduate and graduate instruction, integrate current industry
practices (including modern Gen AI processes) into the curriculum, and
contribute to program development and student outcomes assessment in
support of ABET accreditation. Responsibilities include teaching a
24-credit-hour workload per academic year (typically 4
courses/semester), academic advising, holding office hours,
participating in curriculum review and program assessment, contributing
to promotional activities for CS/CIS and MS programs, engaging in
professional development, and serving on departmental and university
committees. The position will also support expansion of departmental
teaching and research in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: - Master?s degree in Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited
institution. (Candidates with a Bachelor?s degree plus =15
graduate-level credits in the subject area will be considered.) - At
least five (5) years of documented experience as an actively practicing
professional in the discipline to be taught OR a Ph.D. in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - Evidence of
effective teaching and ability to integrate industry practices into
instruction. - Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate
courses (theory, hardware, software, databases, networking,
cybersecurity, etc.). - Strong verbal and written communication skills;
