Qualifications:

• Organized, creative, flexible, and reliable;
• Experience in leading activities with youth;
• Must be at least 14 years of age. Note: Ages 14-15 will only be placed with elementary school students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all program activities as needed;
• Assist with classroom help and skill-building activities for students in the areas of math and ELA. (i.e. math games, reading, vocabulary, and writing activities);
• Assist students in enrichment activities such as games, structured sports, crafts, etc.;
• Assist site coordinator with lunch coverage, snack, transition times, dismissal, and other duties assigned;
• Participate in staff meetings at the request of the Summer Director, Site Coordinator, or Program Supervisor;
• Participation in orientation and/or in-service professional development as required;
• Work with the Program Supervisor to plan hands-on lessons that will be offered to students;
• Other duties assigned.

Intern Orientation and Professional Development Days: 

Orientation and Initial Training: September 15- 18, 2025

School Year Program Hours: 

• Crocker/Reingold/McKay 3:25 pm-5:55 pm
• Memorial: 1:50 pm-4:20 pm 
• Longsjo 2:25pm-4:55pm

NTE 345 hours $17/hr Not To Exceed (NTE): $5,865.00  This amount includes all program time and training time noted above - timesheet submission for payment bi-weekly.

Positions Available: 4 to 8, depending on a two or four-day per week schedule
