2026 Summer Program Helper
Description:
Approximately 25-30 hours per week, Expected to Monday – Friday. Hours/Days may change as needed depending on summer program sites/participation. Position estimated to start as early as June 29, 2026, and to end sometime between August 21, 2026.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE: $23.00/hour

Qualifications:
- Experience in school cafeteria work including but not limited to food preparation, food service and food safety HACCP program;
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment;
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts. Any authorized mileage driven in personal vehicle during shift will be paid at current mileage reimbursement rate;
- Must be available to work all days program is in session from July 7 – August 8;
- Prior experience working in USDA Summer Food Service Program preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Work preparing, delivering and serving summer meals for Fitchburg summer meals program;
- Must be able to attend a two hour mandatory training session in June, time/date TBD.
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of NCBC (fingerprinting) and CORI prior to your start of employment.
