Total Compensation: Not To Exceed (NTE) 164 hours $60/hr Not To Exceed (NTE): $9,840. This amount includes all program time as well as all prep and wrap-up required - Stipends require a Request for Payment form OR Time Sheets to be submitted bi-weekly.
Terms Of Employment/Salary/Work Year
As negotiated by the Fitchburg School Committee and the Fitchburg Education Association (FEA).
This is a retirement-eligible stipend.

Evaluated by: 21st Century Administrator

Job Details

Their responsibilities include overseeing the nursing and health needs of school-age students during after-school hours. By providing essential medical support, they contribute to a positive and secure camp experience for everyone involved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree preferred;
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary license in this area:
- School Nurse
- Must hold a Massachusetts RN License and have a current CPR/AED certification;
- Previous experience in the area of support is preferred;
- Preference will be given to staff members currently employed as a nurse in FPS;
- Applicants must commit to being present for the full duration of the program.
The SSELC Afterschool Program Nurse will
- Be responsible for nursing and health needs of school-age students during afterschool hours including any medication distribution and emergency first aid, as well as asthma and/or diabetes management for onsite and field trips (if applicable);
- Organize a daily schedule to provide services at one school site;
- Maintain appropriate records;
- Communicate with the 21st Century Administrator and SSELC Coordinator, as well as school principals as needed;
- Follow COVID Protocols;
- Other duties as assigned.
