Physical Preparation Coach
Duties and Responsibilities
❏ Plan, direct, and conduct off-season, pre-season, and in-season strength and conditioning training programs.
❏ Design performance programs for individual athletes and for specific team needs, and teach proper skills, skill development, and safety considerations for strength and conditioning.
❏ Analyze individual and team performance needs for sport-specific training and performance.
❏ Ensure athlete safety and well-being in all training sessions, conditioning activities, practice activities related to the strength and conditioning program.
❏ Attend and participate in appropriate national or regional professional development and continuing education clinics and/or conventions to improve and increase overall knowledge of athletic training and strength and conditioning techniques and practices.
❏ Attend all scheduled staff meetings, unless excused by immediate supervisor.
❏ Meet quarterly with the immediate supervisor and/or the Director to review individual performance and evaluate training programs for athletes
❏ Establish personal and professional goals and objectives for the following year.
❏ Attend athletes games to show support and to build a community amongst FSP staff and clients
❏ Must be able to stand and move around the facility for 2-3 hours at a time
Skills:
❏ Ability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating, both verbally and in writing,
❏ Able to work with coaches, sports medicine professionals, parents, and the media
❏ Confidence to speak to individuals and large groups

❏ Understanding of program design, linear periodization, concurrent training, tier system, conjugate method, block method
Experience:
❏ 1-3 years of experience working with athletes and adults in a small group setting
❏ Athletic background (played high school and/or college sports)
Education:
❏ 4-Year Degree❏ Nationally accredited personal training certification (ACE PT, NASM-CPT, ISSA, NSCA, NESTA, NCCPT, NCSF, AFAA,)
❏ CSCS preferred
Compensation:
❏ Hourly wage
Hours per week:
- 12
- Monday and Wednesday morning 4:45 am to 7:45 am
- Sunday 10:30 PM to 1:30 PM
