Fit Prep in Baltimore, MD is looking for a talented and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes and daily prep lists
- Wash, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, proteins, and other ingredients with precision
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures (FIFO)
- Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume meal prep and service periods
- Monitor and rotate stock, communicating low inventory levels to kitchen leadership
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards and health code regulations
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a prep cook, kitchen, or food service role preferred
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality
- Reliable, punctual, and a team-first attitude
- Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe a plus
- Must be available to work Friday to Saturday
