Position: Quality Assurance Manager
Job summary
As a full-time Quality Assurance Manager, you are responsible for developing and enforcing procedures, validating processes, and maintaining ISO 9001 registration to ensure a high level of quality exists throughout the company. You will report directly to the General manager in the quality assurance department
Responsibilities/daily tasks
- Maintain ISO 9001 registration
- Serve as customer contact on all initial quality issues
- Provide technical training and performance evaluations to department personnel and operators
- Conduct quality plans for customer-driven products to ensure all quality level meets company and consumer expectations
- Maintain measurement equipment calibrations
- Perform and oversee the inspection of incoming materials, in-process, and finished goods
- Prepare work instructions and procedures and participates in daily procedure meetings
- Helps maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Supports the company’s quality policy and objectives by reviewing and taking accountability for the effectiveness of the quality management system
- Schedules and conducts internal audits, and facilitates continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
B.S. degree or quality assurance background with a minimum of 5 years of work experience performing above responsibilities and daily tasks. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Core Competencies
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 critical to job success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of SPC, GRR and GDT software programs
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Must be hands-on and efficient with time management
