What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Agent position at Fit Insurance?
Why Join Fit Insurance?
Fit Insurance is a growing independent insurance agency serving Hispanic families and business owners throughout Florida. Our philosophy is simple: insurance should be Fácil, Inteligente y Traducido — clear advice, responsive service, and long-term client relationships.
This is not a call center. You'll manage a portfolio of clients, build relationships that last years, and work directly with the agency owners in a small team where strong work is visible and recognized.
Como agente bilingüe en Fit Insurance, usted manejará una cartera de clientes, asesorará a familias y negocios sobre sus opciones de cobertura con más de 30 aseguradoras, y construirá relaciones de largo plazo.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Retention: Manage an assigned portfolio of renewal clients — review coverage, pricing, and household changes before each renewal, and help maintain the agency's retention standards.
- Sales: Quote and sell personal and commercial property & casualty insurance, identify coverage gaps, and recommend the right protection for each client.
- Outreach: Make proactive outbound calls every day, working agency-provided referral, win-back, policy-review, and prior-shopper lists, and follow up until each opportunity reaches a clear conclusion.
- Service: Respond to client questions and resolve issues accurately and efficiently, generating referrals from satisfied clients.
- Organization: Document conversations and maintain an accurate, organized pipeline in the agency management system.
What We're Looking For

- Professional working proficiency in English
- At least one year of insurance agency experience
- Strong communication and telephone skills, excellent organization and follow-through
- Comfortable working toward measurable retention and production goals
- Available full-time in our Lakeland office, with willingness to work overtime when business needs require it.
The right candidate enjoys asking for the business, follows through without being reminded, creates opportunities instead of waiting for them, and is comfortable using the phone as a primary business tool. This position is not a good fit for someone seeking a purely administrative role or someone who avoids outbound calls and measurable goals.
