What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exercise Specialist/rehab tech : Bachelors degree required position at Fit For Life Physical Therapy?
Our Exercise Specialists work alongside, and under the direction, of our Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants. The primary responsibility is working with patients with education, instruction, monitoring and progression through their exercise/rehab programs. These exercise programs include strengthening, flexibility, range of motion exercises, endurance, balance/gait and vestibular activities.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A PHYSICAL THERAPY CLINIC OR HAVE A DEGREE IN APPLIED PHYSIOLOGY/KINESIOLOGY OR EXERCISE SCIENCE or similar.
Working as an Exercise Specialist will require being knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, athletic training or some combination of these areas. It is important to have excellent communication skills, an outgoing personality, be able to multitask, and above all care about the patients you will be working with.
This is an excellent position for someone that has recently graduated in APK, Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science. It is also a fantastic opportunity for anyone taking a gap year and considering applying to Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant or Med School programs.
You will also be trained to work at our front desk, checking patients in and out, scheduling patients, answering phones etc.
