What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Fit For Life Performance & Physical Therapy?
Job Summary
At Fit For Life, we don’t believe in quick fixes, passive modalities, or temporary relief. We believe that movement is medicine and that the best solution bridges the gap between rehabilitation and lifelong movement health.
Uniquely positioned within Fleet Feet, our integrated approach connects expert footwear fitting, physical therapy, and functional fitness. We treat everyday people who are committed to living active lifestyles—from local runners training for their next 5K, Half marathon, or Full Marathon to folks who simply want to move without pain. We are seeking a full-time, licensed Physical Therapist who values progressive loading, movement mastery, and long-term client relationships. If you want to help active community members stay durable, resilient, and confident in their bodies, you will fit right in.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Quality, Active Care: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and design individualized plans of care centered around progressive loading and active movement rather than passive treatments.
- Bridge Rehab to Everyday Movement: Guide clients seamlessly from injury recovery to functional strength, active living, and movement mastery.
- Support Committed Runners: Treat and analyze runners of all experience levels—from beginners taking their first strides to dedicated marathoners—leveraging our Fleet Feet partnership for complete movement and footwear solutions.
- Focus on Long-Term Health: Educate and empower clients to take ownership of their physical health, building long-term durability that extends far beyond their initial care plan.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with our physical therapy and fitness team to offer a smooth, end-to-end experience for every client who walks through our doors.
- Maintain High Standards: Keep thorough, timely clinical records while providing an outstanding, client-centered experience.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active (or eligible) Physical Therapy license in the State of Ohio.
- Clinical Philosophy: Strong belief that movement is medicine, backed by a solid understanding of progressive loading and functional exercise.
- Specialized Interest: Experience or strong interest in evaluating and treating runners across all experience levels.
- Relatability & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to meet everyday people where they are and explain movement concepts clearly.
- Growth Mindset: A proactive, team-first approach and a desire to continuously refine your clinical skills in an active, community-minded setting.
What We Offer
- Competitive Base Pay with profit-sharing potential.
- Unique Community Setting: A collaborative environment inside Fleet Feet, bringing together footwear expertise, physical therapy, and fitness.
- Purpose-Driven Work: The time and flexibility to deliver meaningful care without feeling like you are on an assembly line.
