What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor of Chemistry position at FISK UNIVERSITY?
Fisk University (www.fisk.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor in chemistry, tenure track, with demonstrated potential for excellence in student-centered undergraduate teaching (general chemistry or organic chemistry, and upper division courses), and for developing a research program (open area) capable of attracting external funding and publishing peer-reviewed papers with undergraduate co-authors. The faculty member also will serve as a mentor in the Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s to PhD Bridge Program and, depending on their research interest, the Fisk-UIUC Master's to PhD Bridge in Quantitative Biology. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related discipline is required, and postdoctoral training is optimal. Applications are being considered immediately; the position is available as early as June 2022.
