You will play a critical role in the architecture, design, implementation, and operations of ground station infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to lead and support the development, integration, and sustainment of ground-based systems for satellite and space communications. You will play a critical role in the architecture, design, implementation, and operations of ground station infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage system requirements and interfaces for ground station infrastructure, including antennas, RF systems, modems, and network elements.
- Support the full systems engineering lifecycle, including CONOPS development, design trade studies, integration, verification, and validation.
- Develop interface control documents (ICDs), systems specifications, and test plans.
- Coordinate with hardware and software engineers, program management, customers, and subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot system-level issues and support root cause analysis during integration and operations.
- Assist in performing link budget analysis, RF chain evaluations, and data flow assessments.
- Contribute to mission planning and ground system automation improvements.
- Ensure ground systems meet operational, performance, reliability, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Support program milestones, design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), and delivery schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in systems engineering.
- Understanding of RF systems, SATCOM architecture, TT&C, and/or signal processing.
- Experience with ground station components (e.g., antennas, modems, RF converters, tracking systems).
- Proficiency with system modeling tools (e.g.,SysML, MATLAB, STK).
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Due to specific US Government contract requirements, dual citizenship may not be accepted. This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.
- Must be able to travel up to 10%.
- Master’s degree in a technical field.
- Experience with DoD or NASA ground systems and standards (e.g., CCSDS, MIL-STD).
- Experience in systems engineering for ground-based communication or space systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based ground systems (e.g., AWS Ground Station).
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Salary : $90,500 - $168,500
