Space Vector Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate across multiple disciplines throughout all phases of product development and testing for key aerospace programs. Responsibilities include circuit design, analysis, board layout, hardware debugging, and testing, with a primary focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS) and related test equipment.
This position works with general oversight, may mentor junior engineers, and may manage large projects or processes within or beyond the immediate job area.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select electrical/electronic components based on technical specifications and project requirements.
- Perform PCB schematic design, layout, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical design, and supply chain teams to ensure PCB manufacturability and requirements compliance.
- Conduct analysis for power and signal integrity, mixed-signal performance, ADCs, and DACs.
- Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part lists.
- Work with the Digital/FPGA team on proper floor planning.
- Interface with component databases, manufacturers, and distributors for sourcing and obsolescence tracking.
- Utilize ERP systems (preferably Deltek Costpoint) for part data management and component procurement.
- Support EEE parts engineering activities related to hardware manufacturing and testing, including technical evaluations and resolution of manufacturing issues.
- Participate in engineering change orders (ECOs) and update associated documentation.
- Ensure component compliance with regulatory standards (RoHS, ITAR, etc.).
- Communicates effectively within and outside the organization.
- Interfaces with customers, vendors, and external partners as needed.
- Interprets and explains policies, procedures, and practices to gain cooperation and alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 7 years of experience in electrical engineering or electronics product support.
- Strong working knowledge of passive, active, electromechanical, and high-voltage components.
- Experience with Altium/Cadence/Mentor Graphics (Altium preferred).
- Knowledge of FPGAs (VHDL/Verilog) and power regulation (switching regulators/decoupling capacitors).
- Experience collaborating with vendors on PCB manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in BOM and part list management.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Costpoint preferred).
- Solid understanding of aerospace or defense industry standards and reliability practices.
- On-site work required.
- Experience supporting government or defense programs.
- Battery management experience.
- Experience with power integrity and signal integrity analysis tools.
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance regulations.
- Experience working with ADCs/DACs.
- Familiarity with PLM tools (Arena, Windchill, Agile).
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
