Overview
We are seeking a skilled Autobody Repair Technician with 5 years experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools necessary for high-quality vehicle restoration. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring customer satisfaction through meticulous workmanship.
Duties
- Candidate needs experience in ALL of the following:
- Assessing/disassembling damaged vehicle parts safely & efficiently.
- Reassembling painted vehicles & parts, ensuring proper alignment, fitment & function.
- Reporting parts/equipment problems or failures propmptly to the writer.
- Filing dents with bondo or other fillers & sanding to a smooth finish (a plus, but not necessary).
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to repair, fabricate, and weld components as needed (a plus, but not necessary).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive repair techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto body repair or a related field is REQUIRED.
- Proficiency with hand tools & welding equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability & drive to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
- Experience with automotive repair processes, including soldering and fabricating components.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing & walking regularly.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting and climbing frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity is essential.
- Repetitive motion tasks are likely.
- Use of protective equipment is required.
