Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Paint Technician/paint prepper to join our dynamic team. Your expertise will help restore vehicles to their original condition, providing customers with exceptional service and satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: sand, scrape, and clean to remove old paint, masking, rust and imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Masking & Taping: protect windows, trim, lights and other areas from overspray.
- Degreasing & Cleaning: Ensure surfaces are free of dirt, grease and contaminants for proper paint adhesion.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects as required to support overall repair processes
Skills
- Proven body shop experience or similar auto body repair background with a focus on painting techniques
- Strong knowledge of auto painting processes including airless paint spraying and buffing methods
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment used in auto body work
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during detailed finishing work
- Experience with detailing, auto restoration, and the use of auto body repair materials
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
