Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and supports individual learning styles.
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate classroom management techniques, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that integrate special education needs and early intervention strategies for diverse learners.
- Assess student progress through informal observations and standardized testing; adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding child welfare, development milestones, and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and behavioral notes to support ongoing child development tracking.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development across literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; special education training is a plus.
