POSITION SCOPE
The Front Desk Assistant/Receptionist plays a vital role in supporting the organization by managing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This individual will support multiple departments and perform work on a variety of project-based tasks, as well as assist departments when additional help is needed. As the first point of contact for our company, the Front Desk Assistant/Receptionist plays a key role in making a positive impression on our visitors and providing essential support across the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Welcoming clients, and/or visitors with a professional demeanor
- Maintaining visitor logs
- Sorting, distributing and sending mail, packages, scanning, faxing and filing
- Scan/File work orders on the computer-based program
- Assist with miscellaneous projects
- Assist with Administrative duties
- Assist with receptionist duties including answering/routing calls, screening, and taking messages for staff
- Work cooperatively with other employees
- Maintain strict confidentially
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software is required
- Excellent communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience in a fast-paced front office environment
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle a variety of tasks is important in a fast-paced environment
- Accuracy and Reliability
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion is often required
