POSITION SCOPE
The Custodian will keep the building and grounds clean and neat, in a safe manner that meets company standards. They use cleaning chemicals to maintain equipment and other supplies while dusting, vacuuming, mopping and cleaning restrooms. The Custodian will be responsible for general janitorial duties as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Sweeping and keeping the shop area clear
Clean and sanitize bathrooms
Cleans, mop, sweeps, and vacuums floors
Empties trash/dumpsters
Maintains walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing areas as needed
Track and orders supplies
Cleans windows
Clean plants and equipment during repair and production
Organizes materials and products in shop areas
Stocking supplies in break rooms/storage areas
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
Familiarity with basic handyman practices
Attention to detail and conscientiousness
Very good physical condition and strength
