We are currently seeking an experienced Materials Supervisor/Continuous Improvement Coordinator for our St. Clair Shores, Michigan location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of inventory to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas to include material stores/warehouse, production control, and inventory control.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Recommends improvements to reduce cost and drives productivity within the department while achieving site specific goals.
- Drives material management operation excellence daily by identifying and improving inventory accuracy, material replenishment flow and organization using Plan for Every Part (PFEP), production loading and scheduling, materials ordering, supplier management and system utilization.
- Provides leadership in selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation.
- Works with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity.
- Leads material replenishment activities, ensuring delivery of parts to production lines are completed per standard work instructions.
- Works with engineering teams to design and deploy various replenishment methods to include Kanban and sequencing.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Supply Chain is a plus
- 5 years of experience
- Industrial engineering background is a plus
- Working knowledge of warehouse and material flow
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
