We are currently seeking a Maintenance Helper for our St. Clair Shores, Michigan location. The successful candidate will be responsible assisting in machine repair, painting, welding, and minor building repairs to keep the plant running smoothly.
The hours for this position are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Perform preventive maintenance, assist in maintenance repairs to a wide variety of equipment, building, and general housekeeping.
- Painting of equipment and machinery
- Run errands as needed
- Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties
- Various other duties as required by the department

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- No experience required - previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Must be able to operate basic tools and equipment related to the maintenance and repair of equipment and machines
- Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees
- Computer and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are required
- Knowledge of TS16949 quality standards and ISO14001
- Ability to work effectively with people
LICENSURE: Valid driver’s license and hi-lo license
SAFETY: Safety glasses and hearing protection required – additional safety equipment required on an as needed basis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment
- Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and the ability to move in and around equipment and machinery throughout the plant(s), including second story areas
- Must be able to identify colors for purposes of executing machine and equipment repairs
- Ability to lift 40 pounds is required
