Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong understanding of various vehicle systems. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair and replace components including transmissions, powertrains, and suspension systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete repairs.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle needs and repair options.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical systems.
Skills
- Dealership experience is preferred for understanding manufacturer-specific requirements.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Experience with diesel engine repair, air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, and tire service is highly valued.
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques including brake repair, transmission work, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and explain repair processes.
