Fisher Associates is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer (PE) to lead the design, analysis, inspection, and load rating of critical transportation infrastructure. What You’ll Do as a Bridge Project Engineer
- Lead bridge design, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design.
- Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures.
- Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets.
- Participate in project planning meetings and align tasks to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.
- Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
- Review plans and technical deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and constructability.
- Conduct field inspections, prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design.
- Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, subconsultants and regulatory approving agencies.
- Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
Requirements
What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Bridge Project Engineer
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred.
- 10 years of transportation experience with a strong background in structures and bridge design.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software.
- Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred).

Salary Range $95,000-$135,000 annually
