Mechanical Engineer

Location: Regional MI or OH offices

For over 70 years Fishbeck has been building. As a 100% employee-owned firm, every team member has a stake in what we build together-our work, our reputation, and our future. Now we need to add a Mechanical Engineer to help us keep building.

Working with our Mechanical Engineering team, you will work on a variety of different projects with several multidisciplinary professionals.

What You'll Do

Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building projects.
Perform engineering calculations and develop construction drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
Support projects across industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and higher education markets.
Conduct field investigations, site visits, and engineering evaluations.
Provide construction-phase engineering support and resolve field issues.
Utilize Revit and other engineering software to develop and coordinate designs.
Communicate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
PE license or working toward licensure.
Proficiency with Revit mechanical software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.
