Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, wine pairings, and specials to elevate the guest experience
• Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours, including nights and weekends
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace consistent with health regulations and restaurant policies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with food industry tools like serving trays, bussing supplies, and kitchen equipment is beneficial
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members seamlessly
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Hospitality background with host/host or food industry experience highly desirable
