What does a successful Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that move money in real time. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
What You Will Do
- Design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals. Also expected to lead the team through these activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
What You Will Need To Have
- 6 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
- 6 years of experience in software development
- 3 years of experience in Java and Spring Framework
- 3 years of experience in NoSQL databases and relational databases
- 3 years of experience in AWS or Azure.
- 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, with tools like Gitlab, Gradel, Maven, Terraform, Harness, Secrets Manager, etc.
- 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience in Angular web application development
- Experience in the financial services industry
