Fiserv's Global Data Protection functions are responsible for the protection of financial transactions and sensitive data and make a critical contribution to ensuring that Fiserv retains its position as a leading security-focused technology innovator. Our Global Data Protection teams are responsible for providing consultation and assistance to application teams developing secure applications. Global Data Protection developers provide subject matter expertise and update applications to leverage data protection technologies.
This role is at the heart of the development team onboarding applications to data protection platforms, and we are looking for a high caliber application developer with the ambition, drive and technical capabilities to help directly influence secure application development in the evolving payments industry. As a Senior Application Developer in this team, you’ll have a great opportunity to design and develop innovative secure technical solutions to meet the business needs of our global clients and enrich our platform offering.
What you will do:
- Consulting with Industry Specialists, Application Development Teams, and Product Owners on future enhancements
- Designing and communicating complex technical solutions to meet security and business requirements.
- Implementing and testing application enhancements to meet policy and regulatory security benchmarks.
- Collaborating directly with development, security, and vendor teams
- Developing your skill set across a range of technologies in a complex and challenging environment.
- Building expertise in specific domains areas and mentoring colleagues
- Providing support for our security platforms as required
What you will need to have:
- Requires 4 years of related technical and business experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent experience/ discipline preferred
- 5 yrs Java or C or .NET or COBOL Programming experience
- Deep application architecture experience
- Knowledge of secure application development practices and information security principles
- TDD and Test Automation
- Secure coding guidelines and best practice.
- This position requires that the successful candidate must be a lawful permanent resident or US Citizen.
What would be great to have:
- CISSP or specialized GIAC certification is preferred.
