Description:
We’re seeking a Screed Operator / Paving Foreman to lead our FDOT paving crew on high-specification highway jobs. The right candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and technical expertise in achieving exacting grades and ride quality.
Responsibilities:
- Operate screed to FDOT tolerances, ensuring smooth joints, even compaction, and slope control.
- Supervise crew and manage day-to-day field operations.
- Coordinate with QC teams to meet plan specs.
- 3 years of FDOT paving leadership experience – required.
- Proficient in overbuild placement, superelevated curves, cross-slope variation management, shoulder tie-ins, and friction course installation.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) – required.
- Strong reading and interpretation skills for FDOT plan sets and QR Roadway Reports.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Availability to travel across Florida and stay overnight during project durations.
