Bilingual Eligibility Specialist (Spanish/English) – Full-Time
Location: Onsite at a Medical Facility in Oceanside
Shift: Tuesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Must Be Fluent in Both English & Spanish
Due to the nature of this healthcare position, up-to-date immunizations are required.

As an Eligibility Specialist, you will work directly with patients in a hospital setting to help determine eligibility for State, County, and Federal assistance programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow within the healthcare industry.
What You’ll Do
- Review hospital census reports and referrals to identify uninsured or self-pay patients
- Meet with patients bedside or in the ER to discuss potential healthcare assistance options
- Assist patients with completing enrollment applications for applicable programs
- Assess patient needs and provide guidance on available resources and services
- Accurately document patient interactions and application progress in hospital systems and tracking tools
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information
- Collaborate professionally with hospital staff and internal team members to ensure a positive patient experience
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent in both English and Spanish

- Comfortable interacting with patients in a healthcare environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare eligibility, medical billing, patient registration, insurance verification, medical office support, or related healthcare experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
