Job Overview: The Landscape Manager, under the supervision of the Operations Manager, is responsible for planning, supervising and leading the landscape team and contractors engaged in landscape preservation, restoration, construction, maintenance and management. The Landscape Manager is responsible for overseeing the year-round daily operations of the landscape department, and provides hands-on leadership with special projects, installation and maintenance of the landscape collections. Your Responsibilities:- Reviewing plans and designs created by designers to ensure compliance with zoning regulations and city codes
- Communicating with clients to discuss project goals and expectations
- Overseeing the hiring of subcontractors as needed for tasks such as mowing, pruning, or irrigation repair work
- Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed on site during construction or installation projects
- Coordinating with other team members to schedule work activities and track progress
- Maintaining records of work performed on each project including expenses and materials used
- Managing the project budget by ordering supplies and labor as needed
- Consulting with architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure compatibility between construction projects and site conditions
- Scheduling and coordinating the work of laborers and other staff members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget limitations
- Coordinating special landscape maintenance functions such as seasonal color, fertilization, weed control, etc.
- Identifying landscape concerns/problems such as disease, irrigation needs, damages, etc. throughout the property
- Drive Company truck with equipment and crew members to all work locations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of agronomic programs and special projects.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Operations (Landscape Constructions,
- Irrigation, and Landscape Maintenance)
- Maintain valid Florida Driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Physical demands include bending, lifting, climbing, stooping, pulling and operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reach with hands and arms
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
- Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
