Host/Hostess (Seasonal)

Job Overview:

As a Host, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the service of members and guests in the dining room. Greets and seats members/guests, maintains order and cleanliness and assures that member/guest satisfaction standards are consistently attained.

Your Responsibilities

• Greets members and guests, seats members. Taking reservations, answering phone.
• Provide menus.
• Suggests and describes various appetizers, entrees, desserts, alcoholic beverages and wine to members and guests
• Handles member/guest complaints and problems and relays to Manager on Duty.
• Assures all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Inspects dining room to ensure proper maintenance of a clean and orderly area.
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
• Assists with table clearing and resetting as needed.
• Greet members upon their departure
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma
• Prior Food and Beverage experience preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills required
• Knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
