Job Overview: As a Bellman, you will play a crucial role improving our residents’ experience by ensuring prompt and precise package processing in our high-rise apartment buildings. As a part of our dedicated team, you will manage all package-related operations seamlessly, prioritizing convenience and security for our residents. Your Responsibilities:- Carry out the day-to-day tasks
- Ensure that residents receive their packages on time and without damage
- Develop, implement, and communicate packing and delivery strategies to streamline work
- Receive and process all types of packages, and deliveries maintaining a flawless package management system
- Sort and track packages from receipt by the building to receipt by addressee/package owner
- Document custody transfers from receipt to delivery
- Organize package storage area for efficiency and safety
- Communicate effectively with team members and residents to issues related to package delivery or non-receipt
- Safely perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting packages
- Handle packages with the utmost care, skillfully avoiding any drops or abrupt movements that might result in injury or potential damageSkills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Multiple language fluency is desirable.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
- Heavy lifting required (baggage handling)
- Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
- Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
- Complete all required forms.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements.
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
