Banquet Sales Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
- Represent property at community functions.
- Implement & direct the property's banquet sales activities.
- Coordinate service activities related to the sales function to maximize customer satisfaction & overall profitability.
- Control dates and availability of event spaces.
- Design & propose events/programs to meet client needs.
- Negotiate with client to achieve maximum profit while satisfying client needs.
- Review sales statistics & market analysis to formulate a clear sales plan.
- Follow up with clients to promote good will & foster additional business, repeat bookings, & referrals.
- Follow up on progress of groups booked.
- Conduct &/or attend meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees & to promote maximum morale, productivity, & efficiency.
- Prepare reports to develop a more informative data base for improved management decision-making & critical evaluation of work activities.
- Foster a cooperative & harmonious working climate conducive to maximum employee morale & productivity.
- Develop and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group business.
- Handle billing for event space.
- Work front desk when needed or required by management.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Oversee all events in event space.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent
