We are seeking an experienced Business Applications Developer to join a collaborative IT team supporting critical internal systems in a financial services environment. This role is ideal for a developer who can balance hands-on development with application support, working closely with business partners to deliver impactful, efficient solutions.
This is a fully remote position with a preference for candidates local to the Philly area for initial on-site integration to get acclimated with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Implement: Build, maintain, and enhance internal business applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SharePoint.
- Application Support: Provide troubleshooting, guidance, and support for internal systems; maintain stability and reliability. (~1/3 development, ~2/3 support)
- Business Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams; collect requirements, clarify needs, and ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to system enhancements, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear technical documentation, test cases, and support materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5–10 years of experience developing in C#, .NET, ASP.NET.
- 5–10 years of experience with SQL, SSIS, SSRS.
- 5–10 years of experience developing within SharePoint.
- 5–10 years using Visual Studio, TFS, or other source code repositories (GitHub experience preferred).
- Understanding of financial industry data, with a focus on banking, wealth management, or enterprise financial systems.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and testing skills.
- Excellent communication skills; able to interface with business groups and IT stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- End-to-end development experience including UI design and implementation.
- Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Prior experience supporting internal business applications.
- Comfort working remotely with occasional on-site integration (2–3 days/week).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
