Overview
Our client is seeking a highly capable and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary on-site technology resource for their Attleboro, MA location. This individual will provide hands-on technical support across a broad range of IT functions, ensuring a seamless technology experience for end users while maintaining a strong customer service mindset.
This role is ideal for a true IT generalist who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting a variety of technical issues, and supporting both hardware and software environments. The selected candidate will be the sole IT representative on-site and must be confident handling everything from desktop support and user troubleshooting to conference room technology and audiovisual systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows-based workstation, laptop, and application issues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and white-glove support to employees and leadership.
- Support conference rooms, audiovisual equipment, and meeting technologies.
- Respond to and resolve technical issues through both in-person and phone-based support.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and related devices.
- Coordinate with centralized IT teams when escalation or additional support is required.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities as needed.
- Proactively identify and address technology issues impacting end users.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in desktop support, IT support, or technical support environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot a wide range of hardware, software, networking, and user issues.
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies.
- Familiarity with AV systems, conference room technology, and meeting support.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to support.
Preferred Background
- Experience serving as the primary or sole IT support resource for a site or office location.
- Strong IT generalist background rather than a narrow specialization.
- Previous experience in healthcare, life sciences, or enterprise corporate environments is a plus.
