Audio Visual (AV) Support Specialist
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced AV Support Specialist to provide technical support, maintenance, and operational assistance for audio-visual systems in conference rooms, training facilities, executive boardrooms, and event spaces. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting AV issues, supporting video conferencing technologies, and ensuring seamless meeting and event experiences for end users.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for AV systems including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems.
- Configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain conference room and meeting room technologies.
- Support video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
- Respond to service tickets and user requests related to AV equipment and meeting support.
- Perform preventive maintenance, system health checks, and break-fix activities.
- Set up and support executive meetings, town halls, training sessions, and live events.
- Install and configure AV hardware including monitors, projectors, PTZ cameras, wireless presentation systems, and collaboration tools.
- Troubleshoot audio, video, connectivity, and control system issues.
- Coordinate with IT, networking, facilities, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain documentation, inventory records, and operational procedures.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on AV technologies and conference room systems.
- Support after-hours and on-call event coverage as required.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience supporting Audio Visual (AV) technologies in a corporate, educational, healthcare, or enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with conference room technologies and video conferencing platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving audio, video, and collaboration systems.
- Experience supporting AV devices such as projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control panels.
- Familiarity with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using ticketing systems and documenting technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex Rooms, ClickShare, or Poly solutions.
- Knowledge of AV signal flow, HDBaseT, Dante, and digital media technologies.
- Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VLANs, and wireless connectivity.
- Experience supporting hybrid meeting environments and live events.
