Senior Accountant
About the Role:
A growing, client-focused accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This newly created position supports continued growth and offers an opportunity to work closely with a variety of individual and small business clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporate entities
- Manage and maintain client bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, including:
- Bank reconciliations
- General ledger adjustments
- Sales tax calculations
- Payroll adjustments
- Communicate directly with clients to gather required documentation and clarify tax-related questions
- Research and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
- Stay current with relevant tax laws and accounting standards
Qualifications:
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online preferred
