The Senior Accountant / Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury management, budgeting, compliance support, and administrative functions across multiple business entities and investment holdings.
Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and payment
- Prepare customer invoices and monitor collection
- Process employee expense reimbursement
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Review and manage recurring expenses, subscriptions, and service agreements
- General Accounting
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
- Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.
- Reconstruct historical accounting records when necessary.
- Maintain organized electronic records and financial documentation.
- Treasury and Cash Management
- Monitor and manage cash balances across multiple accounts.
- Coordinate transfers and funding activities as needed.
- Support cash forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash management efficiency and returns on idle cash.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare monthly and periodic financial statements, including:
- Balance Sheet
- Income Statement
- Statement of Cash Flows
- Produce budget-to-actual variance analyses and management reporting.
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Prepare financial models, projections, and ad hoc analyses to support decision-making.
- Support preparation of distribution calculations and other financial allocations when applicable.
- Tax and Compliance Support
- Coordinate with external accounting and tax professionals.
- Prepare annual information reporting and supporting documentation.
- Assist with tax return preparation and related schedules.
- Support compliance filings, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain documentation supporting employee benefit plans and related audits.
- Operational and Administrative Support
- Assist with payroll administration and employee onboarding processes.
- Support audits and requests from external stakeholders.
- Maintain transaction, revenue, and financial databases.
- Organize and maintain secure electronic documentation repositories.
- Evaluate workflows and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Investment and Asset Accounting
- Support accounting and reporting for investment entities and operating assets.
- Review financial performance and operating results.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash management activities.
- Maintain acquisition, financing, and investment documentation.
- Coordinate reporting requirements for stakeholders and external advisors.
- Executive Support
- Provide financial reporting, analysis, and administrative support to senior leadership.
- Assist with preparation of financial schedules and supporting documentation.
- Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc financial analyses.
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of accounting, finance, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience managing multiple entities, accounts, and reporting requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Preferred
- CPA designation or CPA-track candidate.
- Experience with investment, real estate, or multi-entity accounting environments.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with stakeholder reporting and partnership accounting structures.
- Experience supporting privately held organizations or complex business operations.
