Cost Accounting Manager - Up to $135k
Our client, a global organization, is hiring a Cost Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This hybrid opportunity (Tuesday–Thursday onsite) reports directly to the Controller and offers high visibility across finance and operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing cost accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for process improvement in a public company environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a regional team responsible for cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and capital expenditures across the Americas.
- Oversee standard costing, product costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing variances, purchase price variances, and cost of goods sold reporting.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to inventory, manufacturing, and fixed assets.
- Partner with plant finance, operations, and supply chain teams to analyze cost drivers, resolve accounting issues, and improve financial visibility.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls while supporting internal and external audits.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, automation, and reporting enhancements across the cost accounting function.
- Coach and develop a high-performing accounting team while supporting cross-functional initiatives throughout the region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- 8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
- Experience in a public company environment with SOX and U.S. GAAP.
- ERP experience required
Salary : $130,000 - $135,000
