The RN Manager will oversee client care, make management and budget decisions, coordinate meetings, and make decisions about team members.
Key Responsibilities: Client Assessments & Care Coordination:
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Monitor clients’ health status, needs, and changes to adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
- Provide guidance on care techniques, medical conditions, and safety measures to caregivers and families.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Personal Care Aides (PCAs).
- Conduct competency evaluations and annual training for caregivers.
- Ensure caregivers adhere to proper techniques for personal care, infection control, and client safety.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, providing coaching and support to caregivers.
- Ensure compliance with Virginia Department of Health regulations and franchise policies.
- Conduct supervisory visits every 90 days and as needed for quality assurance.
- Document care plans, assessments, and caregiver evaluations according to state and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and client files.
- Act as an on-call RN for emergency client needs and caregiver concerns.
- Address client or caregiver concerns regarding care quality and safety.
- Educate clients and families on health conditions, care plans, and best practices.
- Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in-home care experience is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and or Google Suite and scheduling software required
- Must possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills as well as a positive and professional image
- Maintain Virginia state Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Must maintain current driver’s license and auto insurance
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Demonstrated ability in or application of organizational/communication skills
- Ability to evaluate situations and make complex decisions using critical thinking and reasoning.
