We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Caregiver who is passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives. This role involves providing personalized care and support to clients with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior
- Administer medication and follow care plans accurately and safely
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality
- Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care strategies and providing engaging companionship
Experience
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia highly desirable
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional training in hospice or hospice care is a plus
- Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance necessary
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
- Demonstrated compassion for seniors and individuals with disabilities along with excellent communication skills
