Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Caregiver to provide overnight support for clients in Front Royal. This vital role involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients during the overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. You will deliver personalized care, monitor health status, assist with daily living activities, and create a peaceful environment for restful sleep. Responsibilities
- Provide patient observation and monitor clients’ health status throughout the night
- Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including mobility and transfers using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks as needed during your shift
- Administer medications following care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Conduct safety checks around the client’s environment to prevent falls or accidents
- Respond promptly to client calls or emergencies using first aid or CPR if necessary
Skills
- Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism
- Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Proficiency in patient monitoring tools like vital signs measurement and medication administration
- Strong skills in manual handling, patient transfer methods, and use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and maintaining confidentiality of client information
- Compassionate caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities
