Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Caregiver to join our team in. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance to clients with a variety of needs, promoting their well-being and independence. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive environment where clients feel valued, safe, and supported every day.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly
- Administer medications following medical instructions and document medication records accurately
- Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia by implementing personalized care plans
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document care activities and medical information securely
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, Hoyer lift transfers, and hospice support as needed
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly valued
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for home visits
