What are the responsibilities and job description for the Memory Care specialist position at FirstLight Home Care of Simi Valley?
Duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
Preparing meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are taken into account
Assisting with mobility, including helping clients move around their homes and assisting with exercises or physical therapy routines
Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and cleaning
Medication reminders as prescribed and monitoring health conditions
Facilitating transportation to and from appointments or social engagements
Observing and reporting any changes in the client’s health or behavior
Must Have HCA or CNA
Caregiver must Demonstrate strong coping skills and emotional resilience when responding to behavioral challenges.
Utilize effective de-escalation and redirection techniques to manage agitation, confusion and hostility.
Foster a calm and safe environment while maintaining dignity and trust with client.
