- Managing the loan bidding processes which includes data mapping and ingestion, loan payment history analysis and detailed communication with multiple counterparties.
- Efficient loan document review using machine learning and optical character recognition.
- Vetting of loans for any issues with lending laws, taxes, or underlying collateral value.
- Payment collection, surveillance, and loss mitigation once the loan is purchased.
- Securitization of loans into bonds and marketing these assets to institutional investors.
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Reconcile investor remittance reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting
- Monitor Servicer reporting and performance against established key performance indicators, service level agreements, and approved policies and procedures
- Utilize internal reporting tools and database platforms to improve data consistency, efficiency, and transparency across servicing and asset management functions
- Validate the integrity and accuracy of incoming Servicer data feeds and internal data repositories to support reliable internal management reporting and external investor/client reporting
- Perform ongoing surveillance of loan portfolio for default, loss mitigation, and cash activity, analyzing portfolio trends and exceptions to support data-driven asset management decisions
- Support system enhancements and implementations by assisting with business requirement validation, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation reviews
- Assist with daily and monthly portfolio processes, including database maintenance, cashflow monitoring, early payment default and payoff reviews, and loss mitigation oversight, in coordination with Servicers and counterparties
- Coordinate communications, issue escalation, and resolution efforts with internal stakeholders – including Asset Management, Servicing Oversight, Legal, and Capital Markets – to support effective portfolio management and timely resolution of higher-risk loans
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in residential mortgage or asset backed operations, investor reporting, middle-office required
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or technology-related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management. Skilled in leveraging datasets to extract insights and optimize data workflows
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Compensation
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $90,000 and $110,000 annually. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by FKM in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation package, and a comprehensive benefits package.
