SUMMARY
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager oversees and works closely all departments including receiving, replenishment, inventory, and load crew. The Warehouse Manager oversees a span of roughly 60 employees through 2 Assistant Warehouse Managers. This role requires significant hands-on leadership leadership, strong personal integrity, and commitment to building a high functioning and cohesive operational team.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversee high volume shipping and receiving teams, ensuring accurate physical counts, adherence to product return protocols, bill of lading accuracy, and reworked product inventory meets manufacturer quality standards
- Supervise all Warehouse employees to ensure they are performing their assigned duties in an efficient manner
- Design and monitor procedures to prevent the loss of product through pilferage, damage, or aging.
- Ensure all employees (including exempt, non-exempt, and contract) abide by company policies and procedures as well as OSHA safety guidelines
- Inventory management with adherence pertaining to product rotation to LIFO principals
- Oversee product swaps, damage, breakage, and returns
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Engineering, or another industry-related field required. Industry related Experience can substitute for degree.
- Greater than 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management required
- Stable work history and verifiable references are a must
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with transportation management software such as VIP or similar software package.
- Highly organized, detail oriented.
- Access to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid driver’s license in your state of residence and auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen.
