Inventory, Warehouse & Procurement Manager
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Employment Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire (based on experience and qualifications)
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Position Summary
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory, Warehouse & Procurement Manager to oversee inventory control, warehouse operations, purchasing activities, and material management. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, efficient warehouse processes, timely procurement of materials, and support of operational and project needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing inventory systems, coordinating purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships, and leading warehouse operations in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, or mechanical services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, distribution, and inventory control.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively replenish stock to support project and operational requirements.
- Source materials, equipment, and supplies from approved vendors.
- Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and issue purchase orders.
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply chain or vendor issues.
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and operations teams to forecast material needs.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of warehouse inventory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor purchasing expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and inventory procedures.
- Generate inventory, procurement, and warehouse performance reports.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, purchasing, or procurement.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices.
- Experience with purchasing systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory reports.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification or experience is preferred.
- Experience in construction, industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or service industries is a plus.
