Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Aircraft Technician located at the FirstEnergy headquarters in Akron, OH. The Aircraft Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and inspection of aircraft to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Key tasks include diagnosing and addressing issues related to aircraft systems, structures, and powerplants, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This position involves working closely with the maintenance team to maintain consistent operational readiness for aircraft.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Aircraft Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
- Knowledge in Aircraft Structures, Aircraft Systems, and applying technical solutions to ensure structural integrity
- Proficiency in PowerPlant systems and related maintenance practices
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work cohesively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting
- Prior experience with business or corporate aircraft is advantageous
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in aviation maintenance is a plus
